ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN:

Metters and Wellby Architects is a dynamic Cornish architects practice, based in the stunning North Cornwall coastal town of Bude. We have been providing a complete range of architectural services in Cornwall and Devon for over 30 years.

 

Specialising in contemporary and modern architecture, we are driven by the challenge of creating stunning designs that respect and enhance the natural surroundings. Our primary design elements are timeless, clean lines, creating a seamless connection between inside and outside. 

 

We work on projects from conception to completion, managing initial concepts, the planning process, technical design and detailing phases through to on site management and completion.

 

We are now looking to expand our team, and seeking an Architectural Technician to manage the technical drawings within the office.

 

As we are a small team, you will be working on a range of projects, supporting our Part 1 Architects, and the two Directors on anything from small extensions, to bespoke contemporary homes and modest, modern housing developments.

 

You will be expected to work at a high level of independency, but with support from the team.

 

Due to the nature of the work, we prefer you to be office based, but we do offer some flexible working structure.

 

Your skills:

 

• Fully qualified Architectural Technician with preferably one years’ experience in industry, but not necessary

• Knowledge of or experience of working on bespoke, high end residential properties

• Sound technical knowledge and in depth understanding of building regulations

• Highly proficient in and detailed understanding of AutoCAD

• Ability to work independently but part of a small team

• Excellent attention to detail

• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Proficient communicator both verbally and written

• Desire to progress and carry out CPD

• Full UK Driver License

• 3d modelling skills an advantage but not essential
